Water Point Renovation

MUMYO carried out water source rehabilitation at Nyiize Wampewo village, Seeta Parish, Kangulimira Sub-county in Kayunga District. The water points for rehabilitation were identified during the Housing Cooperative meetings organized by MUMYO with support from We Effect. More Info….

Clean Energy Project

MUMYO, in partnership with ENVenture, has started on the Clean Energy Project aimed at increasing access to low cost lighting, cheaper and improved cooking technologies and water that is safe to drink. In doing so, the overall goal is to improve local standards and protect the environment.

World Habitat Day

Mukono Multi-purpose Youth Organisation (MUMYO) and other partner organizations of We Effect in Uganda, Shelter Settlement Alternatives-Uganda Human Settlement Network (SSA) and Uganda Housing Cooperative Union (UHOCU) joined the rest of the world to observe the World Habitat Day.  Read more

MUMYO / We Effect Partnership

MUMYO signed a partnership agreement with We Effect Sweden to regulate the cooperation between the two organizations with regard to ‘Enhancing Young People’s Access to Adequate Housing in Uganda and East Africa. The main objective of the project is to enhance the quality of life of women, men and young people through increased access to sustainable adequate Housing.

We look forward to work with We Effect in next five years and beyond.

Home Improvement Campaign

In partnership with Shelter and Settlement Alternatives – Uganda Human Settlement Network (SSA-UHSNET), MUMYO conducted Home Improvement Campaign through Hygiene and Sanitation Management, held on 3rd September 2016 at Kalagi Trading Centre. The campaign was aimed at improving water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) activities in communities in Nabbale and Kyampisi sub-counties in Mukono District.

Global Education Action Week

With support from the Forum for Education NGOs in Uganda (FENU), MUMYO organized activities for the Global Action Week in Mukono Municipal Council with the theme “increased funding for education”. The activities included matching through Mukono town, signing commitments on a big ball, presentation of papers from the civil society organizations like World Vision, ANPPCAN, District Education Officer’s office, MUMYO and others as well as drama, songs and poems which crowned the day.
